Teesdale is one of the two main valleys of the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural
Beauty. The River Tees runs along it's length from it's source just below Cross Fell, through
Cow Green Reservoir before tumbling over Caultron Snout and High Force and through
Middleton-in-Teesdale before eventually flowing out into the North Sea near Middlesborough.
