One
of the older mines in the Nenthead area, Gudhamgill is an extensive
mine which was worked for lead and flourite. There are two
portals, the Low Level Portal is by the roadside and there is another entrance up the small Gudhamgill nearby. A third level, the Horse Level is accessible via Brownley Hill Mine's Low Level.
