NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF MINING HISTORY ORGANISATIONS NAMHO Conference at Grosmont, North York Moors, 2022 The National Association of Mining History Organisations is the umbrella group for the various mine preservation and exploration groups in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Over 70 mine conservation groups, caving clubs, museums and firms are associated with NAMHO. The highlight of the NAMHO calender is the annual conference which takes place every summer at a former mining location somewhere in Great Britain and Ireland. These mine conservation societies are also affiliated with the British Caving Association which covers all underground exploration in the United Kingdom, Isle of Man and Gibraltar.
