Survey of 1931. Most of the houses here
are large although there are small ones too, with gardens. Once part of the Township of Addingham, Gamblesby was a parish in it's own right between 1866 and 1934 before becoming part of the Parish of Glassonby. The former village Church of St. John's is now a private house. Deconsquated as a church in 2010-11, it featured in the Channel 4 TV series "The Restoration Man".
